Here is some gnome trivia

March 5th, 2008

Here is some gnome trivia: They work at night in the woods and sometimes in human dwellings, it is not sheer coincidence that the word gnome itself is derived from Kuba-Walda, which means ” home administrator” or “home spirit” in the ancient Germanic language. In rural areas these home administrators often live in the rafters of barns, where, if they are treated well, they keep an eye on the livestock as well as crops. Another variant of their name translates as “to put in order” or “do odd jobs” - with or without an apron.

March 5th, 2008

Gnomes have been around for many years. They seem to be increasing in

popularity recently and are promoted in commercials and found frequently in stores. What we have done on our site is brought together a variety of gnomes for your shopping pleasure. Please be sure to click on the different styles of gnomes, for example, Red Hat, Woodland, Sandstone, Glow in Dark, to find your favorites. Gnomes consist of several different types, with the Forest type( usually hides out in forest, not seen by man very frequently),Garden type( lives in gardens and enjoys telling melancholy tales), and House variety(has the most knowledge of man, often sleeping near front entrance as an added protection from any danger).
